Default Rods, out of round? Need input

I called my machine shop up today, and they said that my rods are out of round on the endcap/crank side. He said its one of the worst cases he's seen in a long while.

Is this something LS1's are known for?
I guess its something you cant machine out to fix, right? (generally speaking)
Or is there anything I can say to this guy to double check?

I dont know much about internals, so I really dont know what to ask to absolutely confirm that I need new rods, or at least to convince me. All I know is I'm sick of this never ending project. All the motor has left to do is get balanced

any input is greatly appreciated,
-Jason

The stock cracked rods can't be resized using the coventional method of grinding the parting lines and rehoning to size. Clevite makes a special larger bearing which is .002" larger in diameter for these cracked rods. If your rods are out of round more than .001" I would take David up on his offer.
