Engine Break-In / Synthetic or Dino Oil?

Re: Engine Break-In / Synthetic or Dino Oil?
So many new cars come with synthetic that it is safe to run on a new engine, however it's a waste since you should do a few frequent changes on a new engine, one at 500 miles, one at 1500 to 2000, and then slowly work your way to higher intervals later. The LS1 puts out a lot of copper into the oil when new, which doesn't seem to cause more engine wear but it's still a good idea to get it out of there.
