good combo?
I'm going to have some engine work done and at the same time will be adding some new goodies to the Hugger. I plan on buying TF220 as cast heads; and have already purchased 42lb green top injectors along with a racetronix pump and wiring harness. I'm also upgrading to the Comp trunnion improvement to the stock rockers. Here is what my motor consists of now:
Stock lower end with 52k miles
LS6 Intake
Comp Cams 232/238 .595/.605 @ 112 + 2 (less than 3k miles on it)
Trick Flow pushrods
SLP Lid and ported and polished throttle body
N-Motion LS2 Double Roller (less than 3k miles)
Melling HO Oil pump (less than 3k miles)
Powerbond 25% Underdrive pulley
Hooker 1 3/4 LT's
Hooker LS1 Y-pipe
Magnaflow Catback
Vig 2800-3200 stall
Hayden oil cooler
3:73 gears
381 rwhp 380rwt on a Mustang Dyno
Does this combo look good? I may possibly go to a 383 stroker if I can cough up a bit more cabbage

I would run some Yella Terra rockers instead of the upgraded stockers. You will have to shim them both anyway. You should see better valveguide life.
Mill the heads a bit but I think 62cc will clear easy with a MLS gasket.
LS7 lifters should work fine.
Measure for pushrod length because it will change...
I would have gone with more stall but that is just personal preference
Sounds like a good plan

Looks like my choices of heads are;
My stock ones valve job and ported $600
Used set of 243 casting heads, hand ported, 2.02/1.57 stainless valves, $1000
Brand new TF as cast 220's $1700
I'll take the car to the strip 2-3 times a year; it's mostly a car show/cruise night Power Tour driven car that I'd like to turn mid 11's with.
I could use my stock heads and used the saved cash for a Moser. Or since the rest of the motor will be new I should just buy the brand new 220's..
Thoughts?
