LS2 trays. Thunder Racing, among others, have them.

When I did my h/c and lifters and all I didn't get new lifter trays. Why spend the money they are not a moving part? Shop told me the same thing and I had 110K miles...

Just bolt the LS2s in, and go. They replaced the LS1 trays.

Its not a moving part, but they do wear. Even though it may not be completely necesary to replace them, IMHO it would be a good idea, especially since they are pretty cheap.

I wish I would have replaced mine when I did the H/C swap on my HOSS. Its almost too cheap not to do it.

plus if you ever swap cams again, they will actually hold onto a lifter if you spin the cam over.

The main benefit of the LS2 trays over the LS1 trays is the fact that they promote better draining of oil back into the crankcase. The LS1 trays are notorious for filling up with oil and not allowing it to drain back efficiently.

+1

People also drill holes in them to assist with oil drainback.

It's good to replace them because they are the one thing keeping the lifter from turning perpendicular to the lobe...and they're plastic.

Not a bad idea to replace them. I would go with LS2 trays. They are $30 or so for all four of them. We have them on the shelf if you need a set.

It's not necessary to drill holes, oil just simply overflows over the top.

Or TSP can overnight them to you for what a dealer would charge.
