issues with this combo?
Trying to plan ahead
I have a EPS cam 226/234-598/601on 113. I am installing 64cc AFR 205s with stock MLS gaskets.
Anyone running this combo or close, and have any clearence issues?

Talk with EPS BUT IMO you should always verify yoursel using the Clay Method to see where your at. Also Degreeing the cam is considered the "proper" way of doing things. All depends on your level of detail and attention.
I e-mailed Geoff a week or so ago and havn't heard anything.
If I have to flycut, then I will, but with a few weeks left before the install, I wanted to try and find out if it's somthing I need to plan on or not. It's my wife's semi-DD, so I didn't want to have it down any longer than necessary, so if someone has had some clearence issues, I'd simply plan on getting the tools before I start.

I am running 62 cc dart heads with a 232 234 .595 .598 112lsa and stock mls gaskets with no problems. I dont know if your AFR's have bigger valves than my darts or not but you should be just fine.
I've got AFR 205 62cc heads, and I e-mailed Alan Futral to see if the F14 (232/234 112LSA) cam would clear my setup, and he said it would. I don't see you having any issues at all.
Cams like T-rex and MS3/4, and ones LIKE it are supposed to be for a stock motor, see stock head gasket and stock CC heads will clear w/o fly cutting but EVERYONE of them recommends that you still check it.
Cams when ground someones CAN be off, and if your tolerance is VERY close then a "Float" event can blow up your motor.
IMO unless the cam has no ***** and the heads or not cut deep OR on a angle, then in most cases you should not worry. BUT if your taking the heads off, the extra time is a non issue.
In the end, no one but yourself will be paying for a rebuild.
** But keeping to the OP, for the size of the cam and CC I would wager this will be a non issue. You should be fine. BUT what I advise is doing the job right the first time and in the future its good practice and techinque. Learning to do it right the first time saves blown motors down the road. I certainly would not want to be responsible for a buddy blowing up his car as he came to me for advice and I went on the assumption what worked in the past gives me my best "Guess".
Sorry, that just does not work.
Not sure what lobes EPS uses but my 231/235 .617"/.624" on a 112+3 with LSL lobes cleared with a small flycut with my 62cc AFR 205s and cometic .040" head gaskets. I cut .025" only because my PTV on the intake was around .070" (ended up with .105" afterwards). If I was using stock gaskets I probably wouldn't have flycut at all. Exhaust had a LOT of room. I would guess with 64cc AFRs and stock gaskets plus less duration you're probably fine but best to check with the clay for peace of mind.
