5.3 Swap into a project car.
At some point I plan to go with a turbo so the system will need to be flexible enough to allow the turbo.
Is this engine a 24x or a 58X?

The stock harness can be made to work either by repinning the body connectors or completely stripping and rebuilding the harness. Aftermarket is always available for both stock and aftermarket ECM/PCMs
The stock PCM will be fine with boost
Look at the crank sensor to tell the reluctor tooth count. Black is 24x, gray 58x. Its not a bad idea to pull the sensor and visually check the ring too
