Mileage on LS1 Motors?
#25
I've got 80,000 on my 99 C5, and I just got a 98 Z28 with 180,000 for my wife. Both are still going strong. I'm amazed at the Camaro, I'd never guess from looking at it or driving it that the mileage is that high. I've got an LS6 cam I'm going to put in it, it'll be interesting to see what it looks like when I open it up.

I have over 154,000 on my 98 trans am and the motor has no problems. I am currently in the process of getting the fuel pump and the fuel pressure regulator replaced due to some issues I have had with my motor running real lean.

My luck must be bad. I have around 78k on mine. Bought it with 71k and totally stock. I've added bolt ons and now am getting oil on the plugs. I think the rings are getting weak. The lost compression could explain why I lost 17 rwhp in about 6 months

90k here....
run it hard...all the time....6800 rev limiter...usually shift at 6300-6500
drag racing hard since 50k
no problems other than stupid headllight replacement bulbs and one damaged window seal due to attempted burglary(I beat the snot out of that guy...caught him in the act)

Wow, all of you guys except for silver98 make me look bad. I have 141,000 on my '98, and she is still running strong. These are great engines and they will go for many many miles. I had a compression check done on mine a month or so ago and she was still holding at very high levels.
