Would like to add...

just happen to be sorting some things out this evening and noticed a few floating pin rods among my mix that had different features, so I got the scale out and they are around 10 grams different in weight. They are most notably different at/just above the parting line on the smooth side of the rod (non dimple side). The heavier rods are out of a GTO LS2 (all 8 match), the lighter ones were in a mixed bag of light and heavy rods in reman motor (3 of one 5 of the other, yikes).

My scale is a kitchen scale, not terribly accurate, but at least repeatable to the point that I can claim these indeed have different weights.

For other references, stock LS2 piston with OE rings, pin, clips and a little carbon is 662g. And coincidentally, +.030 LQ4 dished pistons with rings, pins, clips, and a little carbon are 664g.

And finally, 010 under rod bearings (thicker to make up for -.010 machined crank journal), are 4-ish grams heaver than STD bearings, 42g versus 38g for a pair.
