Don't know your location, but the OBDII test in Ga. is now a plug and play for codes. No sniffer. As long as you're not throwing any, and aren't showing any not ready codes you "should" be ok. I'm not running that big a stick but passed OBDII emissions w/flying colores. Good luck!

Same here in Dallas. No sniffer test if you're OBDII, just a check for thrown codes.

OBDII in TX. You will be fine.

BTW - How do you like the cam? Does it sound good? I'm thinking about going with it.

They won't do that. If the inspectors were given the right to be suspicious, then we'd all be doomed.

You'll be fine. I'd post up in the TEXAS forum and see if there is a friendly shop in your area.

Dont worry about it. Just make sure that u dont have any codes and you'll be fine. A friend of mine with a big bore motor made it fine, the tech didnt even blink, just said his car sounded bad *** and slapped the sticker on the window. Id be more worried about the price we are paying now! JP

if you drive out of harris county (i.e. waller or surrounding), they dont plug in your car, and it only costs 12.50 to have it done.

Not very smart to be posting **** like that, you people have no idea who might be checking this board out. Before long it will get even harder to pass anything because you people post crap like this on here for the world to see.

Houston is OBDII. The tech doesn't have the option to put you on a sniffer. They have to do and OBDII. As long as the computer is happy, then you pass. I have known folks with big cams, they drive in, and get a sticker, no issues. As long as you don't have "not ready" in the computer, you are fine.

And i dont even have headers, heads, or ls6 intake. Just swaped the cam, springs, and rods.

Thanks for all the info on the OBDII, and i agree with Camarocain...sorry for the possible complications.
