I've seen almost all rods break but I doubt it was from too much power or anything like that. Do you have a picture of this rod?

I have no experience with these LSx rods from eBay, but I did have a less than stellar experience with a 6.0", sbc rod, that cost my customer "...about 200 bucks..."
Against my advice, he purchased the rods and asked me to build the short-block.
As ANY good mechanic would and should do, I took the rod set to my local machinist and had, yes, HAD a brand-new set of rods checked for trueness.
My biggest concern with these types of rods and other parts from overseas is the FINISHING quality and or the lack of. The rods that were checked by my machine shop, were not machined properly and the big-bores of the rods were not "centered". Of course, the shop advised against using the set. I relayed the advice to my customer and he now has a 200 buck conversation piece...plus he had to purchase another set of "good" rods for $289.
ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ENGINE COMPONENTS! If you buy a set of $200 rods, check them before use! If you buy a set of $800 rods, STILL CHECK THEM BEFORE USE! Take NOTHING for granted, period, when it comes to your engine builds.

Holy back from the dead! There are a ton of factories in China that make (made) these things, but not many do it right. In many cases, the American businesses that were there original customers walked away from them after troubles. The Chinese then pedal them on Alibaba to "entrepreneurs" who buy a few sets and pedal them on ebay without having any way to do the required quality checks. When the stuff breaks, they simply disappear.

Getting back to the machining, they're extremely dicey. Dimensions are just one issue. Heat Treat? who knows. Genuine ARP rod bolts? who knows. Anything with a true ARP bolt is finished here in the U.S. The reason is the big ends won't be round if you don't hone them with the actual bolts and ARP won't sell into China because they know what happens then.

There's other issues we've seen like them using worn taps that literally strip out when you torque the bolts down in a rod vice. Big ends where they don't stroke the rod hone properly and just let it eat in one place. Nasty grooves and taper etc.

Summit Pro LS rods are finished here in the U.S. with genuine ARP 2000 7/16 rod bolts. At $499, they're machined to a very high grade, proven at power and we stand behind them.

What is the average total weight for your 6.125” H beam being offered now?

The 6.098 averages about 656g and the 6.125 comes in a few grams lighter. We built them for boost. Here's a picture of the blades...you'll see they're thicker than most on the market and we didn't make two passes down the middle which weakens the rod considerably..

No plans for that currently, but we value your input. This design has been doing great at 1200 whp+ and we rated them at that in turbo applications. We looked heavily at Piston Speed and set a 5000 FPM target for Drag and Street use and roughly 4750 for circle track applications where they have a high duty-cycle and a lot of on/off throttle action create a lot of stress.

IS it just me or does that Summit rod look slightly bent? Might be the shadow throwing me off.

I think it was shot at a slight angle with the small end just a bit further left than the big end. It looks straight to me, but hey?

Ha, yes I had to grab that image off of our 360 view...that was as close to vertical as I could get it when I did the screen shot. I assure you, it's straight as an arrow.
