Question .030 Cometic/LS6 heads and MS3 is Ok??

I both a set of LS6 heads and a MS3 @113 ls to put it in my 99z28. Now if i use cometic head gasket .030 quench with that combo i going to have any problem with PV clearance? My motor is completely stock, factory pistons.
Any opinion is welcome. thanks guys.

stock pistons usually come above the deck around .007 , your asking for trouble with those gaskets. I would not go less then .045"

Are the gaskets .030" thick or that is your quench? If that is gasket thickness, that is going to put the quench too tight after the pistons come out of the hole.

The minimum thickness gasket I would run is an 0.040" but you need to use a stock gasket if you don't have valve reliefs cut in your pistons. I suggest picking up a set of GM MLS gaskets.

Everyone on this forum uses .040 gaskets, but I when I talked to a few vendors they suggested a .045 to be safe. For the 2-3hp difference its not worth it.

I hope so I plan to run a similar combo except unported 243 and a 150 shot (then a 200) at the end of the season.

Now ok i going to go with factory head gasket to be safe in PVC. Thanks so much guys for the Help.

I'm using a LS6 intake with factory ported T/body, ASP pulley, LT headesr, volant cai ,
42 lbs injectors to complement the MS3 and 243 heads with tune.

You think with this combo is posible to put 550 rwhp in automatic trans. car?

I'm guessing 410 -415 rwhp on the motor.if the valve train geometry is correct.
