^ That would cause a knock on #7. I've been there on a two month knock chase. He said it's over the whole valvetrain and I didn't see anything in there about him messing with the oil pump.

I have the prc heads also and it is louder than i would like it it be. Only thing i can figure is just the heads being ported that theres not as much material then to deaden the sound, might be crazy but i had stock heads with the same cam and there was hardly any noise at all. Had it checked everything is good but i still think something is wrong everytime i listen to it

Texas Speed 228R and Stage 2.5 5.3 heads here. I thought for sure something was wrong when it first fired. The shop that did the work is a great place that has tons of experience with LS stuff. Everything was checked for proper operations and found to be fine. Called Texas Speed who assured everything was good.
Been 2 years now with no issues and either it has gotten quieter or I've gotten used to it.
