Thumbs up Heads?

How do you know what type of heads you have? I see a lot of numbers on here and was just wondering how do you find out? I'm not an LS1 expert, but trying to find out much as I can about my car.

Look at the head on passenger side lower right corner. You'll see 3 digits stamped, yours should be 241.

There will be a cast number on the front of the passenger side head, right about where the header primary meets the head. If they are aftermarket casting or ported stock castings 99% of the time they will have the company's name on the flat part of the head that faces the front and the back, which is clearly visible on the passenger side above the waterpump. I have seen some Patriot heads before that did NOT have Patriot engraved in the aforementioned area.

Yep, 241 it is. That's what I was thinking, just wanted to make sure I wasn't thinking wrong.
