Default Stock Main Cap/Bolt Power Limits?

I'm having a rebuild done on my motor and am going with a low compression forged bottom end. It will be a turbo motor making around 650rwhp at the most. I bought 10 new main bolts for the sides as recommended but should I scrap that and go with studs? What is the limit that the stock main caps and bolts can hold? I mean, some guys on 2 and 4 bolt mains are making a lot more power than that. I would think with a 6 bolt setup, even stock, that 650 is far from the breaking limit. Anyone have any experience in this?
I'm just so damn sick of spending money on this motor at this point and would love to think that the spending might actually be over for a while.

I just recently read in 1 of these forums (not sure which 1) that the aluminum blocks are good to 650hp including the main caps even reusing the bolts and studs , and the iron blocks are good to 1000hp same thing with the caps . I would'nt worry about the side bolts being new , they are only 8mm bolts , but with You're turbo I would get new GM larger (10) bolts and (10) studs . I paid $90 for those 20 bolts including a new harmonic balancer bolt . Good luck

Agreed, I hate to see people throw money around. The mains will hold together without a problem, just get some new bolts for them I'd make sure you're replacing your rod bolts with some ARP's though the stockers like to let loose around 450hp

Yup the rest of the motor is forged. Diamond -9.6cc pistons and Scat I-beam rods with ARP 2000s. Should hold together pretty well I hope!
