just got off the phone with terry to see what i should do with my heads as far as the valve seals go...he offered up a set of his viton seals no problem...the only thing is i dont have a spring compressor to install them with lol...so my question is a. do I go out and buy a compressor and install them or try my luck with the teflon seals since it looks like its been about a 50/50 shot and b. can i just use a shitty autozone one? Im assuming it would work fine...and how to you change the seals anywayz other than taking the spring, lock retainer off i assume you just pull it off the valve and put the new one on?
Thanks
Bill
Thanks
Bill
Seals are a pull-off put-on deal, not much to it....after removing the spring..
Seems like an awful lot of work to me just for a measily seal swap. Put the heads on the car and run them. The seals will probably work fine, and you'd never know it after doing 3-4 hours of work for possibly nothing.....No sense in fixing something that aint broke yet..
