I've seen numurous guys using the vette LS1 oil pan on an LS2, but mine looks like it sticks out past the engine. I'm only talking about a mm, but the manual says it can't stick out past the rear of the engine. It's difficult to check while on an engine stand.

All the block dimensions are the same. That pan shouldn't have any problem going on a LS2 block. Be sure to carry over your windage tray and pickup tube as well.
