Default Early 853's with MLS

Ive read through several threads about this now but i a 99 ls1 and rebuilt it using gm mls head gaskets..The driver side leaked from start up so i replaced it and its not leaking now but the pass side was but has slowed to a drop here or there lol..

The motor has about 2500 miles on it now and it hasnt really lost any coolant in the last 2000 miles..
I plan on changing heads middle of the year but i use this truck everyday and work out of town 80% of the year..

At the time of install i had no idea they needed the graphites

My question is should i go ahead and swap over to the graphite ones or leave them be untill i swap heads (if it doesnt start a river of coolant down the block)??????

you can try putting a sealer in. dont really recommend it, i found this out the hard way also. i chenged mine out asap. and it only dripped once the engine got hot. but i copper coated my gaskets when i put them on.

As ghetto as this sounds I figured a good epoxy to fill in the notch on the head (before assembly) would work well to help the older heads seal up well with the MLS type gaskets. Anybody ever try it? I'd rather have it welded and re-surfaced, but sometimes it's a pain to get it done in time. It's not like this area of the gasket is sealing in combustion so the pressure on the epoxy would be small, just not sure if the bond would hold up around the coolant, etc.
