Also, Jason will be posting specs with details on PtV clearance. One of the design goals of this cam was to achieve power without having to notch the pistons on a stock-head application. We have also run Jason's car to 7000+ RPM's at least 20 times with no ill effects.

How loud is the valve train with this cam? My 236/240 XE-R is louder then the TR224 I had. How well will it idle? My car was tuned with the 236/240. Will I be ok with it in an A4? My idle is set to 1000rpm

310/320 .750/.755 on a 106 maybe for

500rwhp on a stock headed 427

Sounds about right doesn't it?

With cams with results like that, people will be saying who needs ported heads...

My question from the other post in the dyno section before I saw this post here:

"Do you think this cam would be ok with a 4000+ stall with only 3.73's in the rear? Cuz I can't go any higher on the gears, cuz for now I have to daily drive the car, and have no OD (Turbo 400)! Also, you think it would be ok in a daily driver? I have a very different definition of streetable than most, hehe!! I just don't want to be breaking valvetrain parts left and right, or bottom end for that matter!"

Talking

For the love of God that is a gigandamondous fockin cam!!! Please tell us more about how this cam clears stock heads. I am VERY interested in purchasing something like this ASAP, but I want to make sure that it will clear with no ill effects. I have already ordered another cam, but if this beast will work, I'm going with it!

I jumped in, I will be putting this in a stock shortblock 98 motor. I fully intend to hit it with a 175 shot from my noszle kit on some good octane gas. I have ls1edit, and I requested that they send me their ls1edit file so I have a baseline or I told them to cancel my order. This sounds like a serious cam and I would love to post some serious numbers (AND ET'S) with it but I don't want to spend tens of hours to get it to run right. I am looking to run this in my 98 which is just under 3000 lbs and fully setup to ET. The car has a TH-400 also so I am not worried about low rpm lockup bucking issues.

That's One BIG Bitch.......................................

This seems a little funny to me. Here are Jason's cam specs from Thunder racing in his solid roller motor.
Thunder Racing 346ci forged shortblock | GTP stage 2 heads | Thunder 240/236 solid roller cam | Moser 12-bolt (4.56)
And now we have Thunder's new cam that is much bigger for a stock motor.
When will they stop???? Hopefully never.

I have a 242/246 610/618 114 in my 410 cubic inch motor.
Haven't even installed the motor yet.
Upgrades needed already.

If you have a 98 and they did the edit on a 99 how will they beable to send you a file that works in the 98?
I am just wondering because I have a 98 as well and would like to get that file when I order.
