Default Lifters/removal

Ok I'm doing a cam swap in a week or 2 --i have new lifters but i dont want to rip the heads off--can the lifters be removed if i remove my knock sensor tower plate --can they be removed from there? never did it so if someone has let me know

No they can't. You will have to remove the heads to get the lifters out.

You don't have to remove the lifters to change a cam. There is a tool that will hold them up. Don't know where to get it, but I've heard of em.

I think I have a lifter going bad. If I have to go through all that to change lifters the stock heads are not going back on. Just have to save up some more money.

i ported my stock ones with stock valves so i'm ok for a while --i'm low 11's on those with a small 554/575 112 cam and 3500lbs--but i think its rediculas that they cant be removed through the vally area
