I recently got a motor with 65k out of a 04 gto. I was just wondering what the estimated hp would be with a good tune. It will have lid, ls6, pacetter headers, slp loudmouth 2, stock 04 gto heads (w.e those are), and a 230/235 590/595 110 lsa cam. thxs guys

The motor itself is prob a little short of 500hp. To the wheels depending if ur auto or manual it would prob be a little over 400rwhp

 

auto 375-390
manual 390-405

 

wow really????!!!! cuz with my old setup i had patriot stage 2.5 heads and it made 405/395, and thats with this same cam. you think it will be very close to the same? And also its not the 6.0 motor its the 5.7

 

well something is not right!! the patriot stage 2.5 heads flow more then the 243 heads, so if you dyno 405 w/patriot stage 2.5!! and now with 243 heads you will dyno a little less!!

 

That motor doesn't have 243's it's a LS1....

i taught the 04 ls1 gto came with 243 heads!! Guess i was wrong

 

yes this motor has 241s....kinda makes me mad that i can make close to the same power with stock heads and same cam. oh well live and learn i guess
