Lube it until its dripping then lube everything else. Put it on the pickup tube and slowly insert it. Be very slow and deliberate in the motion. You have to put the tube into the oil pump, youll never get it the other way around

Youll know if you got it right the first startup. Low/no oil pressure means botched job. If your good, then you're good indefinately

Thanks for the help so far guys! Starting to get closer. Tonite I got the new cam, oil pump, o-ring, and LS2 timing chain installed. Started to button her back up. Hopefully, tomorrow I can finish installing the new dual valve springs and the small details like water pump, radiator, etc. Here's a few pics from tonight:

Ok guys I got it finished up tonight. However, I found out the vender I bought the new belt for the UD pulley isn't the right belt. I really want to crank it over to check and make sure I have good oil pressure before I call it a night. Would this cause any damage to run without the belt for a few mins?

I guess I will be making a trip to Orielly's in the morning to find a belt. Good news is it fired right up and instant OIL PRESSURE. What a relief. Can't wait to finish up some small details like the new belts and putting the hood back on.

Man, its a huge relief that I didn't have many issues with this install. There were a few times where I thought I may have got myself in over my head. In the end it worked out awesome. Thanks to everyone to gave me advise throughout the build process.
Here's a few pics of the final stages:
