It's about time you go faster than me. Sounds good, pretty close to what mine sounds like. Now stop wasting money on the car!

dyno will be next week, i would go now but dont think i would get far cause my hood is still at the paint shop. i have to hit the freeway to get there and i think highway patrol will spot me a mile away with no hood and a cam and loud exhaust.

I hear ya. I was looking at the 235/243 but backed it down to the 231/239 trying to stay on the conservative side. I am hoping the bigger engine handes it ok. I will be running an LS6 intake with a ported throttle body until I can afford a fast set up. The shop made a "conservative" estimate of 425 at the wheels. Can't wait to see your numbers when you get them.

so today i drove it, and decided i am gonna go with a filter in the spot where the oil cap used to be. i am getting alot of crank case pressure for removing the passenger side hoses, so i want to eliminate that. fresh air will be good for it anyway.

also my alt is making a squealing sound, it made a little squeak when i took it off, but now it is louder and is driving me nuts. i am gonna replace it. i have heard that you can replace it with the 145 amp one from a truck, so i am looking into that right now and reading some write ups on it. best part is, it will be cheaper then a new one from the junk yard. i could also possible go underdrive pulley if i get the better alt, but i am still deciding on that.

well i tried to do a test run today from 0-60, but when i hit just under 60, my FTP 98mm lid just flew up and over the roof and into the road. i still have no hood and it was scary as hell but at the same time funny as hell.

yea the filter flew off too, so i was runnin strait MAF...here is the damage that was done:

This is how i pulled in to the garage, notice the lack of a cowl and windshield wipers.

That is where the damage to the filter came from.

Here is where the Lid landed in the road, no damage, just a little scuff. it flew at least 50 feet in the air, and only got this! this lid is light as a feather but strong as a brick! love this lid!

Notice anything missing.....

That would be this thing...forgot to put this on which allowed the Lid to go up over the hood

Installed and ready for another run. car is burring pretty rich, but i cant get a tune till i get my hood back, it is not safe enough for me to drive on the freeway for just this reason, and cause cops are a bunch of ******** out here.

All buttoned up, good thing this sexy lid didn't get messed up.
