What Heads for TR220

This is my first post, soooo, hi everyone.

I have a 2003 C5 MN6 with TR220 cam and StainlesWorks LT headers that made 365rwhp with LS1edit tuning through a 3.90 gear. I’m ready to add a good seat of heads, but I’m curious what you guys have to say about what would work best with my baby cam. I’m very impressed with the AS stgII 5.3 at 11:1(awesome price Jason), but before I jump I’d just like to see if you guys think the stg2’s are overkill for my small cam and if maybe the stgI.5’s are plenty for what Im running. Thanks for your feedback.

IMO any 5.3 head that flows 280+cfm will work fine with your cam. You just have to look ahead=do you think you will EVER get a bigger cam?If you do get alittle better flowing head.

Will aftermarket heads benefit him very much with a cam as small as a TR220?

While its a small cam it still makes good power to 6400+.With pp5.3 s2 heads and all boltons Gomer put down around 415hp.Pretty good IMO

TEA 5.3 Stage 1.5's would be a great head for the TR220 cam.

I have the similar mods as you and got 401rwhp with that same 220 cam and stock 2002 Z06 heads, so heads are definately worth it. I would go for the 5.3 heads from your choice of vendors.

Between the two choices listed 5.3's TEA 1.5's and Absolute S2's I think that's a win win choice. I would call both Brian & Jay and talk with them.

I've been out of town the last couple days, but THANKS to all for the feedback.

I've read lots of great stuff about both TEA and Absoulte, but with the sale at Absolute I'm gonna have to give the nod to the AS stg2 5.3's. Thanks again.
