do you have a shop vac ?use some tubes and try to suck out.of try a flexy grabber.long flexible tool with little claws that come out when you press on the handle.I think I will buy another O-ring for my install.

To get it out, you may just have to lift the engine to drop the pan and get it out. It cant be sucked up through the pickup tube, so that isnt much of a concern.

I dropped mine the same way but it fell right down and stopped at the front of the pan. I was able to get my fingers down there and get it out. Did it like roll back?

I would just raise the engine and drop the pan. bit of work, its a learning experience.
