I PM'd Pat G to get his advice, since this build relies on his cam and pushrod specs. Here was his response...
"Contrary to internet lore, the LS7 lifters use the same pre-load as LS1 lifters. Buy some new lifter trays and LS7 lifters and have confidence that they will work great with the EPS cam and 7.425" pushrods."
Guess that answers my question. Thanks for everyone's input.
