Default trick flow heads v prc heads what do you guys think

i am considering the the prc 5.3 2.5 heads and ls6 2.5 heads. ive been resurching the trick flow heads they seem to be good qualtiy as well. what do you guys think. what trick flow heads would be comparable to the prc heads? ive found 2 kinds of trick flow heads the 215cc and the 220cc woitch of the two are better. i plan on going with a cam around 228 maybe less. would i have worse ptv cleances with trick flows. im in canada i can get trick flow heads localy but i cant get prc heads localy. so i would save on shipping two taxes ex. witch of the 2 trick flow heads would you guys chose? i plan on getting a custom cam from eps. my car has stock block and heads has longtubes full exhuast slp lid below. my goal is 420 to 450 rwhp. ist a 6 speed also.

TFS 220 as cast but you'll need Roller-rockers.

I have the PRC 5.3 stage 2.5 heads on my stroker,, I wish I had the trick flows. These heads when they were on my stock bottom end with a custom EPS cam, and a ported FAST 92 intake was dyno tuned at TSP and it put out 463 HP and 428 ft. lbs. 6-speed thru a ford 9". These heads work great, however now I have my stroker, I would have ran with the trick flow 220s just couldnt spend the cash on em.

220's are 'as cast" versions of the cnc'ed 215's so the 215's are slightly better....

Have you considered the PRC 215 heads for your setup?

The PRC stock casting heads will not be as nice as the trick flow heads. Trick flow stuff is on an aftermarket casting so its kind of difficult to evenly compare those. You might look more into the PRC 215cc heads as they would be more of an apples to apples comparison with the Trick Flows.

Agreed, the relatively fair comparison is the PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 with the TFS As Cast heads maybe...but if you're going to compare the TFS CNC ported 215's or 225's, make it a fair fight by throwing the PRC aftermarket casting into it!

Don't forget the PRC heads are on special right now for tax time. There's a big discount running on aftermarket casting PRC heads!!

If you don't know what heads are better, you need more research. I think the trick flow head is more proven at this time. I would always go with a better quality head over a budget head. Not to knock the prc head but i don't think there is enough good results yet to say yes they are better or no they are not.
