LS2 timing chain questions

I recently bought a chain off the for sale section for an LS2. I assumed it would be the GM ones every vendor is selling. Upon arrival, to my disappoinment, it is a Cloyes. I have not checked the part# but coming in a Cloyes box I figure that's what it is. No stamping on the chain or sprockets? Is the GM LS2 chain better, stronger, tighter? Thanks ahead of time

A Cloyes chain and/or set will be better than the GM LS2 pieces are! Have you sent a PM to the member you bought from yet?

The seller ma have meant its a timing chain set for an LS2, not that is was a GM LS2 chain, as stated above, the cloyes piece is a better set than the GM, You actually got a better timing chain set. Make sure the part number works for your App and your good to go.

I have but not heard back yet? I am a lil concerned, but if a Cloyes is better I guess if that's what was actually in the box I am good.

Well Matt, I was hoping so, not so sure. I looked online at the Cloyes chains and I think this one is not a Cloyes now? The Cloyes have their symbol stamped on it as well as part #, this has nothing. I even paid the price of a GM unit with gears ($60) and the non adjust Cloyes is only around $40 with gears. My fault on lack of research, but still have no clue what the hell I was sent? Says a Cloyes C3220 which shows to be 03+ Silverado and I believe I saw 05 Vette which would be and LS2 chain. But again, they have a gold sintered tint from casting or metals used. This one is silver and no markings other than a 116 cast onto it?
Thanks again for any help! Want to think I didn't get the shaft!
