Default Experiences/thoughts with 1.85 rockers?

Am thinking of adding SLP 1.85 rocker arms to my 2000 A4 C5. I have a low lift .525 .531 XR269HR Comp Cam. My understanding is that the rockers will add about 12rwhp (peak) and about 15-17 ftlbs rwtorque (peak) on a stock engine, so I expect q little more with my setup. I understand the rockers have a fairly significant effect on "under the curve" power and torque. I do not want to change cams again, and thought this may give me just about what I want from the car. I have a great low end and the car pulls very hard. I had 3.73s in the car and it was really difficult to launch quickly on street tires. They just wanted to spin. I switched to 3.42s in the hope the car would be easier to launch quickly off the line. I was hoping the rockers may help regain some of the midrange jump lost to the gear change and give me a little more up top. I realize there's a lot of knowledge on this site so any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Ed

My dad had me put a set on his 2002 suburban with a 5.3L and it made 0-60 faster by .2 seconds. Also noticed an increase in torque right off idle.

i have used 1.85 crane-cam on my ls1 for 4 years and transfered them on my 402 and had no issues, can't tell if they made a difference because had made to many changes at same time.

I just bought a set to go with my new setup. Comp said it would put me at .613 with my 265hr. Had to switch springs though.

Instead of un-gearing the car, you should have added stickier tires.

Two reasons I didn't:
1) I take the car on cross-country trips every summer and did not want to mess around with drag radials
2) I do not want to tear the transmission up

I figure if I can get the launch such that it's a little easier, and boost midrange by increasing "under the curve" power and torque, and top end power and torque somewhat, it'd be almost prefect for me.

I know what you mean mileage wise on drag radials. However, I believe my system to be about as perfect as it gets. Buy an extra set of rear rims. Mount drag radials on one set, and regular street tires on the other. I switch them out whenever I feel like it. It's really the best of both worlds. Add in an air compressor and an impact gun and you got it made

I almost went the 1.85 rocker route but decided for about the same amount
of money I could swap cams w/the latest lobe technology and get near .600
lift and yet have streetable duration numbers and get about 30-35 hp
Obviously you already have a cam and it IS alot of work but the newer
profiles would still find you more power than just the rockers....just say'n
