What length pushrods?

Just got my cam today and I'm wondering what length pushrods I need to get. It is an EPS 234/242 custom grind cam with the stock 98 ls1 heads (the crap ones haha). What length would I need for these heads? Would I need a different length, and what length if I do, when I upgrade to 243/799 heads? Thanks in advance!

There are to many variables to guess, always measure. I'd rather spend $20 for the tool to measure, than to guess wrong and have to pull the valve covers and rockers off to do it all over again(not that it's that hard to do so).

Yeah..well I just dont want to have to get stuck measuring then waiting for pushrods to come because the car's my daily so I can't afford to put it in the garage for a week like most guys on here unfortunately.

the cam was right around 600 lift correct? i would guess 7.425's would be the ones you will end up using.

I would say the stock length would be the way to go, but yes still my best guess
And I don't think lift ever has anything to do with pushrod length???

well the base circle does, and if you have more lift it requires a smaller base circle on the cam so you need longer pushrods. I might be wrong here but i think that is correct.
