Default 98 Head and cam swap supporting mod Q's?

So I have a 98 ss with 114,000 miles on it and I just recently bought a Texas speed head and cam kit (Prc 5.3 stg 2.5 heads) and Tourqer 2 cam with all the supporting mods (ported ls6 oil pump,ls2 timing chain, Trunion upgrade rockers,ls2 lifter trays, ls7 lifters, fast 102/102 tb) etc...

But I recently came across a forged shortblock with low mileage thats built to take a hugh shot of nitrous..

My question is, will those heads and cam be a good choice to use if i plan on shooting nitrous in it?? should be around 700 hp est if i do a 250 shot...

Or since im changing my shortblock should i change the head and cam as well? also will my supporting mods take 700 hp or should I start looking at others?

any help is appreciated, thanks.

I think if your gonna run a 250 shot there are more optimal options out there then what you have right now. You could definetly bump the compression and geta cam more nitrous friendly.

More importantly then that do you have a rear, trans(if m6 clutch), driveshaft, or suspension that would even be able to put close to 700 to the ground?

more to think about then just throwing a bottle on it especially with that kind of shot.

The heads are milled a bit. And I was already thinking of a different cam.

I wanted to know if the ls6 oil pump and the trunion rockers would hold 700 hp. And would the ls7 lifters hold up as well

you realize that a 250 shot is direct port territory right? you are gonna have $1000 at least in the N20 kit. Plus really the only thing different on the shortblock for a big nitrous hit is the ring end gaps.

that cam likes nitrous but i have no clue on a 250 hit. I would buy the bottom end just because its forged and will be reliable, but i wouldnt shoot more than a 150 to it without going direct port.

The oil pump really dosnt care how much hp you are making and the rockers are affected more by rpms than power.

SHould i sell my heads and get some Afr's or trickflows? I want as much NA power as I can to get out of this engine before i think about using any nitrous... And yes the rings are gapped to except up to a 300 shot...
