Kind of curious, is there any benefit as far a noise goes to replacing the OEM rockers with a full roller set up like Crane or Yella Terra's? I'm going to swap out my rockers soon and was wondering if I might be pleasantly surprised with a bit less valve train noise?

Also - anyone see any need to change push rods due to the rocker swap? I have a TSP torquer V2 w/ the TSP 7.40 push rods.

I recently bit the bullet and swapped to the yella terras, they fit great, didnt have to use the shims and pushrod preload was unchanged. I was running a new set of comp cams trunion upgrades in my stockers. I swapped to help and try to get rid of some of my valvetrain noise. It did not lessen it at all. I mean none, but I have a great set of rockers that I never have to worry about.

 

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I have the OEM's w/ stock trunions so I want to change anyway. I have read some reports of Yella's and Cranes being a bit quieter. However it's been my experience that I am never that lucky.

 

It seems like the majority of the people on here are running are running Crane or Yella Terra rockers... I have Harland Sharp what is the difference if any?
