Default Cams to pass emmissions

I don't know much about what the numbers stand for in different cams. What I have learned from my search is that I need a cam with 114 lsa or higher to keep my car emmissions legal. Is this correct? What is the most aggresive cam I can run and stay legal?

Also, if you have a link to help educate me on what the numbers mean, post it up because I found nothing.

Thunder Racing's 220/220 114 cam should pass emissions and maintain good drivability. You may be able to go a little bigger, but the 220 has a good track record of passing emissions and on a 114 LSA has decent street manners.

If you want a true kitten on the street a 212/218 114 using Comp XE lobes (~ .550 lift) will be very torquey and easily pass emissions.

MTI B1 cam has also been proven to pass emissions by more than a couple members. It's a 221/221//.558/.558//114lsa.

I have this cam. Excellent street manners, while still having a nice beat at idle @800rpm <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

The Hot Cam will give you a real nasty lope with it's 218/227 duration and 112 LSA. Not trying to put you down, I would just hate for someone to think these two behave alike.
