Default PRC LS6 stage 1.0 heads for 228R?

Guys my current set up is 228r cam, Tsp long tubes, ory, yank 3600 stall putting down 380 at the wheels. Im looking at the PRC LS6 stage 1.0 heads from TSP. would these heads match up well with my cam? What type of gains would i be looking at from these heads?

That would be a great set of budget minded heads for that size cam. I believe TSP will mill them for you also for little of no charge. So you could have .030 taken off to bump of the compression also without having to flycut. Maybe one of the guys will chime in.

I was talking to my tunner today and he also mentioned about having them milled to at least 62cc..? i know nothing about heads. how much would this raise the compression? i would love to gain 30rwhp with this head swap.. is that a realistic goal?

Most people claim 20-25 hp. improvement when switching from 241 or 853
stock heads to unmolested 243 castings w/approximately .40 increase in
compression. Even with yours being stage 1 ported your goal is easily
realistic. @ 62cc volume I believe you'll be around 10.55 or 10.6 to 1 comp
with stock head gaskets

They will work very well with the 228R! And as mentioned above, we can mill them for added compression at no extra charge!

Contact us if we can help!
