Default Spun bearing LS1 with 60k

Spun the bearing with an ls1 with 60k on it, cammed full bolt on. oil pressure was never bad always stayed right in the middle while driving. than all the sudden it was running like **** and i had to keep revving it to keep the oil pressure up.

now i have a ls1 shortblock bought for $350 with 90k and a set of heads i'm getting ported and polished off another ls1 with 80k miles. with a 215/231 cam from the motor i'm currently running. (cam has 4k miles on it)

Will piecing it together with different miles still be a strong motor? im trying to do it right but it kinda feels like im cheaping out a little.

should i get the block with 80k freshened up when i get the heads P&P?

I just dont want to end up having a junk motor because eventually it will be procharged.

your going to have to go through any part you want to re use off your old motor because it had metal shavings in the oil due to the spun bearing. You need to make sure the stuff your reusing isn't scarred or scratched from the shavings.

IMO you should pull apart the 90K shortblock and have it honed. then if you are going boosted in the future buy some forged pistons and rods for it and do all new bearings. that way you have a brand new fresh rotating assembly.

did you do any kind of testing on the engine before you bought it? It might be a good time to do the rodbolts while you have it out.
