The 6.0 doesn't have the same crank and rods just the ls1 and 5.3 do. I did mine to 3.898 bore with no problems. I wouldnt go over that though.

Not all, but most 6.0L iron block engines do. Regardless, you can use the crank and rods from a 6.0L in a 5.3L, as long as the pistons are adequate.

Plus, I've heard of people boring the iron 5.3L's further than 3.905" with great success...

I just bored mine out to 3.907. There was a minimum wall thickness of .110 and went as thick a .175 I believe. Still thicker than a 350 small block bored .060 over, and that's with taking an eighth of an inch out of there.

What I've read on here is although the 5.3 , 5.7 and the 6.0 share the same stroke all 3 use a different crank because of the different weights of the piston, pin, rod assemblies . Boring a 5.3 iron block usually can easily take 3.905 or more . To be sure have the block sonic checked for peace of mind .

New here with 2 whole posts.

The block on my 5.3 has "4.8/5.3" cast into it on the front left. Is the 6.0 the same block too?

No. 6.0 is different. It would have "6.0" cast into it.
