LM7 into 4th gen Fbod - Alternator
Hello,
I know it must have been done quite a few times where a LQ4/LQ9/LM7 is dropped into a F-body and the top alternator bolt hole has to be tapped and drilled. I'm just looking for any helpful tips some of you may have found to make this as efficient of a process as possible to avoid possible headaches/destroying bits, etc.
Anyone know the size needed?
Thanks in advance.

just did mine tonight on my LQ9- the bolt is M10x1.5; 11/32" drill bit
bolt up the bracket in place and use the biggest drill bit you can that fits in the bracket - use this to drill a small starting point. start small and work your way up
use plenty of cutting oil on the tap, don't want to break anything
mine is a touch off center (error on my part, should be an easy fix), but if you take your time, should go fine
