Default Will my headers work with my steering rack??
Hey im planning on finally installing my pacesetters lt's and ive heard that there are clearance issues with some racks used in 4th gens? Anyone know exactly what racks dont fit?

The only car I've ever seen have an issue was a 99 trans am of my buddies. For some reason it had a rack swapped into it from a v6 car by the previous owner. Never noticed till it came time to install headers. Other than that most all of the 1 3/4 headers will fit with a little persuasion. Other than that Ive never heard of any issues.

i know there is a few racks that just wont work, anyone know the rpo numbers for those racks fe12? or something

All the cars had the same rack I've seen and put headers in 5 different ls1 fbodys and have never seen the problem where the just "wouldnt fit"

they dont all have the same rack, thats just GM for you. some ls1 cars were coming off the line with v6 racks in them it just depended on what they had at the time
