I would love to have that kind of power! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

But those number are weak <img border="0" alt="[boring]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_zzz.gif" /> compared to the cam only car <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" />

I've noticed that they (01-02's) seem to be overachievers! I wonder about whether the 01 & 02 F-Bodys getting any different components (other than the intake) that make them fast (12.9's bone stock) and dyno ~5% higher than 1998-2000's. Perhaps GM's attempt to rectify piston slap or PCM upgrades make a noticable difference than previous years.

Are you saying that Bill's car has the same cam then? And that he's getting 6RWHP MORE with STOCK heads than a Stg. II head/cam car with longtubes with the same cam?? And your also saying that his advantage over MRB00's car is in his custom exhaust?

I don't know.... wouldn't that mean his car would have to make somewhere like 40RWHP more just based on the exhaust to best MRB00's Stage II heads, Jet Hot's and Magnaflow exhaust?

Obviously a good exhaust is important, but just running stepped headers and revised merge collectors I wouldn't think would give you THAT much more power over running a set of regular longtubes and a freeflowing catback.

Am I missing something? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

The revised merge colectors are the "high velocity" collectors correct?? I believe Barry at QTP is making setups with these collectors available now. With the proper tuning they are supposed to give some nice gains over regular colllectors, however no one seems to be able to tell me which cam these would go well with. I guess the ESD cam is optimized for these collectors, but still how does a M6 stage 2 heads, not make the same power as a cam only car? Just curious - not trying to start in on the sponsor bashing as I am very happy with my clutch setup that I recieved from ESD.

we MrBs car is untuned i will say it again bobs car is untuned we will see its #s when it gets tuned so it can be compared tuned vs tuned and bills car was 419rwhp thru exhaust so bobs car is very close with heads helping his car where the header set up helped bills car
Guy talked to barry at QTP and he believes that the exhaust is the reason that the cam works so well and he know about exhaust systems

as for east side selling the exhaust set up Ken is looking into getting the y-pipe made so it can be sold as a pkg.

I know it is hard not to doubt this set up on bills car but no one else is running the same set up for us to compare it to.... but if i wasnt standing there when it was installed i might doubt it to....

the cam same as in Bills and Bobs car is in my car and when my car is tuned by NoGo i bet im pretty close to where Bill is enough to reasonable explain the difference and outsiders will agree i have Slp headers and cats and 3.73s and 315s

please go find the original post for all of the mods on Bills car as they are ALL LISTED

thanks thechef <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Not impressed for the same 'magic' cam
with Stage 2 heads.

Must be the exhaust. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

Chef- I noticed you took the cam #'s
out of your sig.
You must of put a stock cam back in. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I believe he ran mid 11's with a 100% stock internal LS1 and trying to hit 10's with a cam only and looking for the right cam which I'm sure he will.

Why you getting all snotty? You pissed because your cam didnt deliver?
