Eastside Performance Cam (Dyno & Video)
[QB] I believe he ran mid 11's with a 100% stock LS1 and trying to hit 10's with a cam only and looking for the right cam which I'm sure he will.

But, also that was with a stock TB with no bypass and heavy 11" wheels with 315's and a stock catback. Your car is running pretty lean already and I dont see much hp gain from a tune, driveability will definitly improve though.
Youre making great power but, is this the same cam that pulled 430hp on stock heads a while back??

i wish i knew about this header and merge collector set up before i got my SLP set up <img border="0" alt="[cry]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cry.gif" />
i bet the car is a potato chip has the motor ever been apart??? or is it untouched???i would like to see more info on this "stock" car
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
<strong> there is nothing listed and no proof him claiming he did it is great no time slip, video, list of mods oh yea its stock Right and at what weight??

There's no need for this...
I will say to thechef, however, that if you are saying it's impossible to run 11.5's with an internally-stock, naturally-aspirated 6-speed LS1, you're sorely mistaken, because I've done it as well. I have timeslips that I could scan, if necessary, and many, many witnesses of the run, as well as TONS of people that can vouch for the fact that my motor has never been touched.
10's have been reached with a cam-only setup, also. Mike Hoffpauir has run 10.98 w/ his Futral 226 cam. If all goes well, I'll be after that record personally next weekend at the LS1/LT1 Spring Break Shootout. <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" />

You should trip on over to the 1/4 mile section of this message board and poke around. Despite the overwhelming number of threads like this on ls1tech you will find there is more than just dyno racing going on here.
Good luck at the shootout rageman. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Since Eastside hasnt published the cam specs on these things, does anyone think that they discovered something that other people dont know about yet? Are they doing something special to their cams to get these great numbers? Or are these just a good all around cam that would compare to lets say the MTI X1 or TR227 or something?
The reason I am asking is because I pretty much had my heart set on the TR227, but dont want to buy it and then a week later, East Side makes their cams available to the general public and totally re-writes the book on LS1 cams...
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Initially, I was very interested in this cam because it seemed to put out exceptional #'s, BUT I believe this cam has been hyped up just a WEE bit too much after seeing this thread.
I'm not knocking this cam at all, I'm sure it might be very good, but it certainly hasn't really proven with these two drastically different results to be much different from a lot of good cams that are already out on the market.
My opinion may be incorrect, but I feel the first 430RWHP claim made about this cam was something of a fluke. I feel that the individual (Bill) who owned this car probably has a factory freak on top of the fact that he has a custom exhaust.
I'm waiting to see if anyone gets anywhere near his #'s with stock heads and this cam.

Must be the exhaust. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

out of your sig.
You must of put a stock cam back in. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Now you're starting to be a real dick (as in detective, of course.. although in your case, both shoes fit) with this scrutinizing sig's now.

But I also think your jerking us off a little, too.
431 rwhp cam w/bolt-on's
Same cam w/ stage 2 heads-414rwhp.
There are some variables,granted.
Logic would dictate that it should pull AT LEAST
450 untuned.I am not alone in this assumption.
I'm sorry I noticed his sig,I thought he posted
it because HE WANTED PEOPLE TO SEE IT. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />
I'm just curious why Thechef has an Eastside cam
and doesn't put it in his sig with somrthing like
'Dyno#'s coming soon'
Excuse me for being observant.
I'll custom grind my own cam.
