Default Noise after cam install (video)

Just finished up installed 226/234 on a 113 from EPS. Trick flow pushrods and dual springs. Thought Id post before i look into it. When I first started the car i had just a faint ticking sound, and once it was fully warmed up and after a drive around block (staying under 2k.) now it sounds like a Very loud sewing maching... Used loctitie on the rockers and rechecked the torque after a few revolutions. any ideas?

Sounds like theres a rocker issue there. I know roller rockers add some sewig machine like sounds to an engine, but I can hear that noise over everything else.

Maybe you got the wrong size pushrod?

First of all what consisted of your build. What size pushrods did you use. Did you change lifters or oil pump during your build.

Sounds like an old hydraulic cammed car with loose rockers. I'd say you need longer pushrods. Or at least measure what you have and get a length checker to see what you need. Sounds like all of them are loose. That means no preload on the lifters. Should be corrected soon.

Just did cam springs and retainers. I looked at the pushrods before installing but after reading some posts I forget what size. I guess ill pull the covers off at work tomo night if there's not too much work coming thru. Oil pressure is fine and it only did it after it fully warmed up. I've had a light ticking sound before the swap but it seemed like normal ls tick

What size pushrods did you use? Before I put my EPS cam in I have TSP 7.400" hardened pushrods and Patrick G told me I needed to use 7.425"

I am running an EPS cam and with my heads and block being stock Geoff told me to run 7.400 as long as I was running ls7 lifters and if I was running stock lifters to use 7.425

Often, the oil pump o-ring gets pinched or cut when reinstalling the pickup tube and your oil pressure will be lower than it should resulting in louder clatter as the oil gets warm and oil pressure drops further. See it all the time.
