Who besides Jegs (Sponsors)?? carry the rods necessary to hold the lifters for a cam change??

Agreed, around 20/25 bucks and that works on all ls1/ls6.

nope (at least not the first version of the tool)..i just did my friends '01 and it bound up as soon as it hit the first lifter

I've used it on all year LS1s with no problem. You could go up to the next biggest size if others are worried about that. Still less than $2.00
