Default spring install help!

im putting pac 1518's on 799/243 heads. i bought the springs from a member and it was the whole kit which when i got them had springs, seats, seals, locks. now the question is.. the stock seats are pressed in right? do i have to change them? the ID of the 1518's are bigger then the stock springs so if i dont add any seat and use the stock one the spring has a lot of movement. if anyone can help me id appreciate it. got the motor all torn down doing a cam swap

The seals you are installing are used? That may be part of the issue if they are.

Post #7 has the locators that I used. I ran into the same problem and everyone said to just drop them on the stock locators but I wasnt comfortable with the amount of movement that those springs have on the stock locator. I used the Ferrea SL1080 locator with a new set of umbrella type valve stem seals.
