ls6 cam? ok so i bought a "ls6 cam" today sapose to be out of a 04 zo6 but not sure because the number on the cam is 14 03 15 031/eng "4519" alot of ppl are saying the 02+ ls6 cam # is 5308 mine is a 4519 i tryed to google the numbers and came up with nothing can anyone plz help me figure out if this is a 02+ ls6 cam or not and if not what cam is it need to no before it goes into my 4.8

You should also be able to identify the core by the three bolt cam sprocket layout and the absence of a cam sensor reluctor ring just ahead of the last journal.

The good news is the LS2 cam has the exact same specs as the 01' LS6 cam . The bad news is for You to use it in a pre 05' LS engine You need the timing cover that has the cam sensor from an LS2 or an 07 or newer truck engine and an LS2 cam sprocket . The good news is that a wrecking yard in oklahoma called Ruperts has 5 or 6 of those timing covers for $35 and He'll ship em .

thanks guys now im just tryin to prove that to the guy who i bought it from lol its not worth the trouble to use this cam in my truck not for so little power any 02-04 ls6 cams for sale anyone?
