Sorry to hear that.
The same thing happened to me a couple of months ago. My cam was a regrind. I decided to put an LSX in my car instead of fixing it. Its a 91 Vette.

Its possible to get the lifters out without pulling the heads?

I have been wanting to get a F13 cam and while doing some searches I found similar issues with this cam.isn't it likely to be the case here.Any one know if the new F13s have the same issue?

Sure. Pull the cam out and let them fall into the oil pan.

Good luck getting them back in tho


All kidding aside the answer is no. On an LS motor you have to pull the heads to gain access to the lifters.

When a small cam like mine (224/230 .588/.588), did you guys recommend shimming a .650 dual spring or just go with a set of .600 single?

There's two different shop doing my head and motor. I need to let the shop know what I wanna do.
