Lost and confused
Lost and confused I have a 2002 z28 ls1/m6
Where to start I ran the check engine light and it came up random missfire. I took it to a local shop And they said it was cylinder 7. I changed plug, coil and wire and the miss has not went away. At normal idle their is a small miss but when I take off there doesn't seem to be loss of power. I notice when I'm on the highway at 70mph in 6th gear at 1500rpm check engine light turns on. I can down shift till 5th and stay at 2000 rpm and the light immediately turns off. I notice a exhaust leak this morning coming from the driver side... I feel like I can't get rid of this problem soon I'll get rid of the car!! HELP please.

It could just be the exhaust leak messing with the oxygen sensor causing the rough idle. If you don't notice a loss in power then it is likely not an actual miss. I wouldn't waste any more time/money changing parts until you fix the exhaust leak.
