Does titanium by nature wear the valve seats more than stainless because titanium is much harder or stronger than the material the seat is made out of?

Sounds like a 50~55 deg. seat angle on the titanium valve vs. a standard 45 on the stainless valve.

Great job guys, way to push the envelop

They should be ready within a few weeks, but they need a 4.00" or bigger bore to work properly, they do not flow well on a 3.90" bore.

they will be for a 4.155 bore. so i think they should flow well. what do you think? how much do you think the heads will be with stainless steel valves? about 2000? if said in an earlier post i apologize i must have missed it. let me know. these heads sound like they are incredible and i want them. keep me updated brian.

my educated guess is titanium is a lighter stronger metal so you can use less material and have the same strenth as a stainless valve, this allow more volume of air to go by the valve, increasing flow.

good work guys.

Sweeet. I'll be talking to you Monday about when I can bring the car up. (those aren't my heads though, I ordered the milder LS6 heads). Will that intake you're developing fit my heads? Given the issues with the FAST it'd be nice to see another alternative.

nice numbers!! They will run circles around my MTI heads. Congrads. I might have to keep those in mind if I upgrade heads again.

That's an impressive flow # for any small block head. I wonder what kind of #'s could be had from the AFR heads if someone were to take the time with them.....

good work guys.
That sounds logical, but why would they wear out faster? I believe for the equal mass, Titanium is not as strong as aluminum, so maybe the valve job has something to do with it.

well, titanium acually sucks as a friction material. my guess is that the guides would wear quick and then the seat would be next. that my most parts they make out of it dont slide on any thing like keepers.
