Smile 350 Cfm Ls6 Head !!!!

At the request of a customer that wanted a 350 cfm LS6 head, I had a custom titanium valve made to 2.10" diameter, we ported a LS6 head to around 240cc intake port volume, 4.125 bore, and first time on the bench this is what it flowed. Michael Paris Pugliese did the porting of the head, the SAM employee that developed our Judson Signature series port who now works for us!!!

.100" 61
.200" 127
.300" 201
.400" 265
.500" 316
.550" 335
.600" 350

It did stall right after .600" lift, but for the first time on the bench with it, I'm sure we can work that out of it.

This is obviously not for a daily driver, but for someone looking to get the most out of race type set up (without the expense of a C5R head), then this is the hot ticket!!!

It is 6am and I have been here for 15 hours so I am going home to sleep, but I will have some flow numbers through a LS6 intake, Weiand, and Fast tonight.

265 @ .400, 316 @ .500 and 350 @ .600

That's an outstanding first time on the bench!

I can hardly wait to see the numbers thru the intakes!

Those are some HUGE numbers! I think it will be interesting to see the dyno curve of the motor those heads go on.

Great numbers Brian, I know we had some 340ish numbers from an LS6 head a while back but there was a bit of material added here and there. Some just don't realize the diff. a valve head shape and valve job make on the flow bech

That's some awesome flow there!

Aen't you getting close to the point where you have to move the valves farther apart in a stock head?

The CNC program will be done in a week or two, the complete heads will be around $3000 plus core, the custom titanium intake valves are $600 alone, set up with hyd roller or solid roller springs, 8mm or 5/16" stems, standard or +.100" length valves, the best of everything. This program should have comparable flow on a 6.0L head as well. Once again, this is not for a street car, the life expectancy of the valve job is probably around just a few thousand miles. This same port with a 2.10" stainless valve still flowed 335 @.600" and would work just fine on a street car.

We are also working on a +.400" raised runner head and intake combo that will be tested on a twin turbo setup on Westech's dyno, we are trying to make a 1000 HP on a stock shortblock before it goes bang.

What's the difference between the titanium and stainless valve that accounts for the difference in air flow?

Get those 6.0L numbers with the stainless valve.

Thanks

awesome! cant wait to see what these heads make over a previous head design. not cheap but it should be worth it. will velocity be effected with teh increased port volume?

Thanks for clearing that up Brian. I have a street car, but those #'s are very high.

We don't really want to go into detail as to why this is because we don't want to educate our competitors, the mid lift numbers are as much as 15 cfm better with the stainless valve though. This same port with stainless valves and hyd roller springs puts the price back to around $2200, like the present Judson signature port we have.
