Only if you plan on flycutting the pistons. That is to much for even a 224 581 112 comp cam

Yeah, I say flycut the pistons. How about shorter pushrods?

With -2cc reliefs I had .212 with that cam on the intake side and .035 milled. Taking the .165 away from my flycutting-leaves.047 and your additional mill of .015 is .032 of clearance....I wouldn't run that cam without 3 times that. Flycutting .065 is the minimum and you better check the clearance again. The powerband of that cam is to 6700-6800. At those speeds thing strettttch. There is also valve float which is an issue for XER lobes with insufficient springs.

I'm just having the heads milled .020 and not touching the pistons.

I had .40 off my 5.3 heads and a 224/ .581 cam. I had no PV problems at all.
