What is the most popular H/C?
Thx
Add a ported TB to the mix and then the H/C combo really kicks ***. It's one of those mods you must include with other mods to be effective.
I love my set up.
There is a TON of Heads/cam info in this forum...
thanks

Chris
can you help me with search. i want it for street racing
As stated above though, a full bolt on car is almost a must before doing the head and cam swap. You will see the most gains this way. Start with a lid, catback of your choice, headers, and a y-pipe.

AS another said earlier, do all of your bolt-ons first. This is a cool $2k (depending on how you do it) and this will help you HC setup work properly. The ported TB, good exhaust setup, pulleys, intake, etc... will make the car run properly. Nto to mention you will require tuning to get the most out of any HC setup, and you don't wnat to have to keep going back for every little Bolt-on mod you make.
Thx
Look at other posts about "Insert Performance shop here" and their insane pricing along with a core charge.
You get what you pay for in almost every expect of life so do not expect any cheap head to topel the performance of higher end heads IMO.
This is the most popular combination. I wouldn't say it is the best, you have to determine what is best for you.
Most of the sponsors have some nice head and cam combo's. Call them and discuss what you want and they'll steer you straight and set you up.
My favorite combo is the TR220 (I don't know why) and the TEA 5.3 stage 1.5 heads. I'm desperately trying to resist buying those heads.
Maybe this https://ls1tech.com/forums/nitrous-oxide-10/ is what you're looking for?
They are running a special for a few more day in which you will recieve stage 2 5.3 heads any cam of your choice, gaskets and pushrods for 1899.
This is one hell of a deal.
However you will need the additional bolton's for your car to get the most out of a h/c setup.
I have never seen anyone do H/C without bolton's first, so I have no clue what you would pick up. I will say there would be a power increase but how much??????
To stay on the cheep side, I would do Jet hot, or pasesetter LT headers.
I would keep the stock exhaust for now and buy electronic cutouts. This way when you are going to race you can open the cutout's, and have the extra power.
If you have the extra cash then a true dual setup would be great.
You will need a lid, air filter, ported TB, headers, exhaust, etc.
All in all you should beable to pick up an additional 100 horsepower with all the mods listed above including the H/C. This should cost somewhere around 4-5 thousand depending on cost of install, and what bolton's you decide on.
Good luck to you.
