meanwhile I appreciate every ones help. at the begining a stated I am buying the cam I want once, and will build the rest later. I understand it will be a little gutless down low that is hopefully where the big stall and the 4:10s will help. if I wanted a low duration cam I would put engine out of my minivan in it. I really was just looking for the answer to the initial question clearance with the ms4 and 317s. then at that point I could decide how much to mill after the ptv check. thanks again for every ones great insight . much appreciated Rick

You will not be able to mill anything and as far as dif gearing, autos do not require that steep a ratio, especialy with a big stall.

I have a ms4 in my lq4 with 243s. My friend tuned it and it idles perfect with a mean lope. Doesnt do too bad down low. Pulls really hard from 2800 to 7200. 243s are stock and didnt require flycutting
